BIOPRO article on our antibacterial surface innovation

European Patent officially granted
Our core technology has now received official recognition at the European level: On October 8, 2025, our patent for the nanoshape process was granted and published by the European Patent Office (EPO). It marks a major milestone in protecting and commercializing our surface innovation.

nanoshape at the Start-up BW Summit 2025
We took part in this year’s Start-up BW Summit in Stuttgart, joining the Aerospace, Quantum & Future Materials cluster. In addition to our core focus on titanium and medical applications, we presented new use cases for aluminum and surface functionalization in aerospace, automotive and sanitary industries.

Presenting at the International Dental Show (IDS)
At IDS 2025 in Cologne, we presented our nanostructured implant surfaces for dental applications. We had the chance to talk to manufacturers, researchers and clinicians about the potential of our technology to reduce infection risks and improve long-term implant performance.

Featured in KIT's Neuland Magazine
nanoshape was featured in the 2024 review edition of Neuland, the innovation magazine of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), published in March 2025. The article presents our journey as a spin-off and highlights how our nanostructuring technology can contribute to safer and more functional surfaces in medical and industrial applications.

At the Heilbronn Slush’D startup and tech festival, nanoshape was awarded 1st place in the “Life Science & Med Tech” category of the prestigious CyberOne Hightech Award 2024. The award honors the most innovative business models in Baden-Württemberg and is supported by bwcon and leading industry sponsors.
