nanoshape is a young start-up and spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology that is dedicated to preventing implant infections using innovative nanotechnology. Our team combines a passion for medicine and surface technology with the common goal of improving healthcare through advanced technology. You will work directly with the founders and gain first-hand insight into the exciting world of start-ups!

Your tasks

• Collaboration in R&D projects

• Collaboration in the development of new technologies

• Investigation of various surface modifications with regard to mechanical parameters

• CAD design of components and systems

• Literature and patent research

• Support at events, trade fairs, etc.

Your profile

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or materials science (doctorate or many years of professional experience are desirable)

• Technical understanding of materials, coating technologies, and surface processes

• Excellent communication skills, team orientation and willingness to take on responsibility

• Knowledge of analytics and measurement technology (e.g. scanning electron microscopy, surface roughness, etc.)

• Project management skills

• Experience with laboratory or pilot plant operatio

• Very good German and English language skills (written and spoken)
